Re: Excalibur TrailBlazers
Thanks for the write-up. I still have a pack of X-Act that I haven't tried yet, and Magnus Black Hornet SerRazors in 125gr that are waiting on the Zombies right now (no bows had an opportunity on deer last season). I'll probably pass on the 2" TrailBlazers due to the lower horsepower of the Mic...

Re: Excalibur Micro 335"s
Gen 1 has webbing in the riser holes. The rail is 15.75 inches. Gen 2 has open holes. The rail is 16.25 inches. See this post: https://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=63808#p625207 Some will say the Gen 1 had a slightly higher risk of limb breakage due to the higher stress flex on t...

Re: JUST A HEADS UP.......REVISED
I thought the beefier limbs were thicker and didn't fit the limb pockets of the Gen2-based risers? Also, wasn't the $80 price for blemished limbs? $100 for a fresh new set isn't bad.3. The replacement limbs WILL BE the BEEFIER limbs.

Re: AXE 340.... Very Pleased!
I stopped the speed chase game a few months ago when I said switched from the awesome Matrix 380 and Bulldog 400 bows to the Micros. They are plenty fast enough for 40 yard shots, and the takedown feature made it easier for me to store them. Getting back to the Axe, it too is a great bow with plenty...

Re: AXE 340.... Very Pleased!
Anthony is right, the Axe is a very capable bow (I had the Kryptek RAID with all SDS stuff on it). Enough speed, enough options, and the DeadZone isn't all that bad, it's very clear and a simple reticle. It does cut your hunt end time a few minutes short as compared to a better scope like the Tact-1...

Re: NEW to Crossbows and Looking to Buy
And while the Axe 340 isn't a TD model, it does break down with a single screw very easily. I have a barely-used Kryptek version listed on another archery forum, PM me if you want details.

Between the trigger latch and ADF latch. The old model would slip before the cord even got to the ADF.

Re: Axe340 and stringer aid ??
Tried the new model stringer with the thick black cord (#2097) on the Axe today and it held without any slipping.

Re: Axe340 and stringer aid ??
I too had problems with the stringer on the Axe. I have the older model with the gray cord. The cord would "slip" when I tried to pull it up with the charger. And yes, I know how they work, I used the same stringer on many different models from the Axiom all the way up to the BD400. The Ax...

And as always, never call during your 10-minute break at work. You need a lunch hour at the minimum.

Anthony - I don't think it will. There are no holes in the riser for attaching it. I am sending you a pic of mine via FB Messenger.

Hatchet - I still have all three of my ACP triggers in single-stage (how they come out of the box). One of these days I am going to try one in two-stage.

Re: Axe on sale at Wyvern
Mine now garnishes a Tact100 and ACP trigger and a Charger EXT for winding up for the pitch. Bumpers are now DrStirrup, and the string is a vixenmaster string. The string stars were left on the factory string, the exshits are gone, but the limb dampeners remain. It will be loaded up with Zombie Slay...
