Re: Couldn't find my 8 pointer
Hmmm....40 views and no comments. OK...I'll be the first to say it. An "about" 40 yard free hand shot at an alert deer in heavy cover with a Vortex.... That was irresponsible and a very low probability shot. My absolute MAX distance is 40, and that's only a rested shot on a head-down deer ...

Re: Vortex sound dampening?
Really? That's it?
I was figuring it'd be something like a closed cell expanding foam fill or something. How much of a difference does it make?

Re: Vortex sound dampening?
Wouldn't it be easier to just post the pics in the thread rather than sending them out a bunch of different times? Besides, my only email is through the company and I can't view attachments anyway.

Re: Latest "Thief" Update
1 camera body
1 12 gram CO2 cartridge, valve, and electric actuator (trigger) from old paintball gun
1 piece of 1" waxed cardboard tube filled with vegetable based bright pink dye (non toxic)
1 mercury switch salvaged from a cheap thermostat.
Just sayin'....a pink thief is easy to find

Re: broadhead for the Equinox
I too use the Grim Reapers, and last year stepped up to the large 1 3/4" cut. NOW: The large blades DO open up occasionally when fired (never had it happen with the smaller ones though), and due to the size the blades will actually hit the stirrup when firing sending your shot who-knows-where. ...

Re: Yearly Youth Handmade Call Give Away-Last Call
My 9 yr. old (Emmy) is occupying the second seat of the ladder stands with her Daddy this year and is REALLY excited about it. A call would make a great addition to her brand new camo

Re: Home made targets
I have two no-fail home made target recipes: Field points: A feed bag (free) stuffed with more feed bags (free) Modification: If you can get it, scrap ripstop nylon (old tents, parachutes) or fiberglass window screening works even better as a stuffing Broad heads: 3 yard block of peat (spagnum) moss...

Re: Lumizone.....WTH?!?
OK, so I put the Xbow in my bench vice, picked a spot on the wall and watched through the scope as I adusted the dials. with the elevation dial it is almost like something is hanging up inside....I can move it four-five clicks with nothing, then all of a sudden it will jump up all five at once. I ca...
