These pics were requested in another forum and I figured I would post them here also. They are the impact shots right before, during and after impact. I looked through the Video on the impact shot and these are the best I can get. I have found in the back yard it takes about twenty to twenty five ya...

excellent looking deer!! great shot...could you show us your camera setup on your crossbow? Here is a few pics. I am using the Range Finder mount sold by Excal. So far it is working pretty good. Not recommended by Excal, but I have a four year warranty and willing to try it. I do not have a camera ...

Thanks for the comments and support guys! I was glad to share it with you guys! Thanks also to you Wabi! I still don't understand how people dislike that stuff in a hunting forum. Not wanting to debate it, but your right, we are hunters in a hunting forum, I am pretty darn proud of that pic! I would...

Eight Point Buck on Video!

This is short, but sweet! There was two times when I thought it was over. First was when I readied my bow and camera, he stopped, but then started to move again. Second was on my deer call. You can see it in the footage, and my limbs get caught on them and it makes a little noise, but he never heard...

I agree Don. I tried to get a good pic of my buck but he was pretty stiff by the time pics where being taken that it was hard to even get his head up. I tried to tuck his legs in, but they would not work with me. I was able to make sure his tongue was in and not much blood on the face, but that was ...

Eight Point Down with the Vortex!!

Went out this evening for a great hunt! Had some does working the field off to my right and some had moved in front of me. None never came in close enough to get a good shot. Then behind me I heard a bunch of leaves crunching and by the time I seen him he was about twenty feet behind me. Grabbed bow...

I know what you mean Dave! I think it should be a mandatory thing when you sign up to at least give your region or part of a state your from. I think some people are afraid that people may track them down and show up with a Axe! LOL!! I do not see it on here as much, but some guys do not give it bec...

Excalibur is a name that is used on alot of things, not just the good stuff from Canada. Here is a Compound made by High Country called a Excalibur. Not saying this is the exact same bow your friend has, but alot of stuff gets that name put on it. http://i5.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/c2/74/7760_1.JPG http...

Sorry about your luck Dave. Nice work on the RF finder also. That is why I bought a RF this year, I to sucked at guessing range and had to limit myself to twenty or less. But with the new RF I am felling pretty good about taking 30 yard shots if the need arises this year.

Some info From a couple other members told me that one thing that can change POI on a string change is strand count. A smaller diameter string will impact the nock on the lower half making the POI go up compared to a larger diameter string with a higher strand count hitting more in the center. Are t...

This was posted by Dan on another forum and shows how to do it. I hate scraping the glue from the shafts and the best part of cresting is you cut the vanes off when done with them and then just take some acetone and wipe off the paint and your shaft is clean, no endless scraping trying to get all th...

I have one of his FFF strings and it too is top notch. After reading Dave's post on the cat whiskers I now have a Flemish Excel with the whiskers on order and can not wait for it to come. I can get a DB meter from work and plan on giving it a try. For sure he has a great talent!

Was the camera mounted on your bow? Yes it was. I used a Range Finder mount for it. At the bottom of post I will put a pic of it. Sorry the pics are kinda hard to see. I think in the fourth pic down you can see the vanes some what they are neon yellow and they stand out toward the top of screen, bu...

Forty Yard Shot Frame by Frame

Well I did some more shooting at the mother in-laws today and wanted to post a forty yard shot for you guys play by play so to speak. My editing software can do 60 frames per second, but I can only save it in 30 frames per second. Well at forty yards it takes a Vortex 15 frames at 30 frames per seco...
