Re: plague of bad scopes in aussie.

Come on now Blackjack, it's pretty hard to have a "plague" of bad scopes in OZ, the total number of LZs that have been sold there is pretty small! Chances are very good that the problems you are having are with some LZs from the bad batch that we had a year or two back. As usual we will ho...

Re: 2 excal questions for U...

Did you try some WD40? Squirt some into the trigger unit where the catch goes down and work it back and forth a few times, that should help loosen it up. Lacking that you'll have to have it opened up and cleaned out by someone who knows the ropes, like our warranty center.

Re: Accurate?

You are a perfect example of why we went to the 150 grain heads. As the bows increased in velocity we saw accuracy issues increase and after testing I was shocked that the groups were opening up radically after 20 yards or so. We honestly couldn't find a 100 grain broadhead with fixed blades that wo...

Re: Passthrough

I shot a deer a few years ago with a crossbow that boasted a whopping 25 foot pounds energy. The arrow zipped through the deer at 25 yards and I darned near lost it in the grass it dug in so far. Will 100 foot pounds be enough? In my opinion it's more than enough for anything that walks this earth, ...

Re: silencing question..

We have been there and done that. We have been aware that the string hits the riser since the Wolverine days and we tried adding rubber strips to the sight base way back then with no measurable decrease in noise or vibration. I was impressed to see the difference in vibration that the STS did to the...

Re: Big, Bad Bill T

Hi Guys! I've been busy as heck between getting ready for hunting season, trying to coax along a few new projects with the business, and maintaining an extra farmhouse that we are in the process of selling. With the weather this summer it seems like all I've been doing is cutting grass! Kath and I w...

Re: anti-dryfire project

Adding an anti-dryfire device is easy to do, we have several prototypes we've considered in the past, the real question is "do we need one". REASONS TO HAVE AN ANTIDRYFIRE 1 Save limbs from damage. This is generally not an issue with our equipment since our crosbows survive unscathed about...

Re: Vixen ii and cheekpiece?

I know the cheekpiece fits on tightly, but trust me guys, the cheekpiece WILL fit. If we didn't make it tight at would be a problem the other way because people would complain about the gap around it while it was on the bow. If the hole doesn't line up when you snap it on just pop it off and align i...

Re: Excalibur marketing dude

Don't go changing that Axiom scope out without giving it a chance. Those scopes are made to shoot perfectly at all range marks up to 50 yards with a firebolt and a boltcutter broadhead combination. They don't have the adjustability for speed tike the VZ, but they have less glass in them because of i...

Re: Excalibur marketing dude

We are listening and if there appears to be enough desire to justify a more expensive scope from a better supplier we'll be there. Also, remember that ANY low cost scope, whether from us, hawke, vortex or leopold will invariably hail from the orient and be subject to the same issues.

Re: Excalibur marketing dude

It's no secret that we had a terrible problem with the lumi scope over the last two years. In 08 our Chinese supplier decided to drop the quality of the components to keep from increasing our price without telling us, and we shipped thousands out before we found out the problem. In the ensuing night...

Re: Is Putin Using an Excalibur?

Yup, that's a vixen alright! The rope stirrup must be to cock it in the inflatable, I expect cocking with the aluminum job could damage the boat. We make a number of these bows every year for tagging or DNA testing marine mammals, They are provided with all parts coated to deal with the corrosion fr...

Oh, so Danny's been fooling around with strings! Doesn't surprise me a bit! He's still up North exercising our bear population, no news whether he got one yet though.

Re: New string review.

Hi I just wanted to comment on this issue. First, with ANY flemish style string their will be a period when the string is new and the individual fibers are mechanically fitting into themselves under pressure and excluding the wax that they contain. This makes the string get longer and once the fibre...

Re: axiom crossbow

We had to drop out some of the extras to get the price down on the Axiom, but you can add them if you wish in the future at any time if you want to. Te scope is set for around 300 FPS to be dead on at all markers up to 50 yards. This is the speed that you will probably be shooting and I'm sure that ...
