From looking at the atlas, looks like this one's a bit of a drive;

Excalibur usually replys to an email within a few business days.

Re: Parole, parole, parole... =)

In regards to being a "Maestro", if people expect that of me, they will be sadly disappointed. As far as achievements and experience, there are people on this forum like Jim C who have far more archery accomplishments than I do, or will ever have. I see no reason to choose a recurve, pleas...

Re: Reply

I have been involved in archery since the late 1960's, shooting hand held recurves. I have shot hand held compounds since 1979. I have examined Ten Points and Hortons very closely, I have shot them as well and seen them in use at many 3D target shooting events. I would like to ask you - what do you ...

2335 Shirley Avenue, Kitchener, Ontario.

I have personally been through the factory during their open house tour and seen the manufacturing process, including their limb making equipment, which is done on-site.

From experience on 3D ranges in downpours, technically, the Excalibur will shoot quite well in these conditions.

From a hunting/recovery viewpoint, Wabi's post makes sense to me.

If this was a bigger shoot (more targets) I would try to come for sure but it's a long drive for a few targets...trust you will understand. ABSOLUTELY :D It is too far to drive for a shoot of this size, I wouldn't do it myself either. I offer the following merely as a report on the club and our sit...

They seem to be quite powerfull but will they meet the minimum power stroke that is specified in some jurisdictions for hunting?

If they are getting 370 fps, they are well over any maximum velocity limits for 3D.

Thats the one I want to check out. Glad to hear a good review on it. Saw my 1st Phoenix today. I was very impressed by the quality of the fit and finish and the size/configuration of the whole "package". If I did not have an excellent 2001 Vixen and one of the last Exocets made in the old...

There are litterally millions of compound vert bows out there and their reliability is never questioned. Why? I shot traditional recurve verts from the late 1960's until the late 1970's. You had to shoot a lot to maintain proficiency but reliability was 2nd to none. Having shot compound verts from ...

I was thinking I might give it a try too. Just have to get me some more bolts, I've only got three left. If you are new to 3D (sometimes even if you are not :oops: ) bolt loss can be an issue. At these fun shoots, our club has no issue with the new shooters "stepping up a little closer", ...

I like everything you wrote except the part about reduced turnouts :cry: . I hope you have three times the people there this time. Thanks For some background, I used to post a lot here. I posted this just in case anyone in the immediate area reads it and might want to come to the shoot. IMHO it is ...

Looking at the photograph, it appears to me like the trigger is some distance ahead of the latch, along the lines of a "bull pup" design; maybe not as pronounced but enought that I assume the trigger is linked through some sort of connecting rod. This usually doesn't make for best of trigg...

3D Shoot at the CSC on Jan. 30, 2005

I have not posted one of these for a while, this is for information purposes because it is a small shoot and I honestly don't know how far folks would want to travel for it. Location: CSC (Canadian Sportsman's Club) of Fort Erie, Ontario 14 Target Fun Shoot (Outdoor) January 30, 2005 Random Start; 8...
