Chris

I thought this was true of the vast majority of TV and Radio stations.

If it has to do with hunting, or recreational compedative shooting of any kind, most do their level best to put a negative spin on it.

This is not a deer gun but it will give some idea of the performance of the 870. My oldest 870 is an 870TB Trap that I bought new in 1976. It has been my main trap gun, though I do shoot other guns. This gun has fired a conservative estimate of 75,000 shells. These were target rounds, not slugs or m...

Last year was a bit unique, it was Excal.'s 20th anniversery. The open house then was a special event. It was very well done and good food and refreshments were served; it was not a cheap event to put on. Hate to rub it in but I have one of the 20th anniversery hats, I don't wear that one to club wo...

Thanks 10Ring! No prob.'s When I first saw these, years ago, they got me going too, I worry a lot and like everything in good shape. I learned more about these as time went on. Last year, I got to see the way they are made at the Excal plant, it was very confidence inspiring for me to see the way t...

Yes they do. I wish I could see these or a picture, i could tell pretty quick, however; If they are short and evenly spaced and run down much of the length of the limb, they sound to my like the typical "feature" you see on these left over from the manufacturing process. My older Vixen an...

Do these run length-wise, i.e. parallel to the string?

Actually, the description I read when I bring this up reads Vixen.

It looks like my older "classic" black/grey, carved limb tip Vix.

While not quite as fast as the newer versins, these are a real nice sweet-shooting, accurate crossbow. :D

They need to look at the bigger picture we couldn't defend PEI with our Army. They are finally buying some new Helicopters for the army, probably because they were going to get sued for health and safety reasons with the old ones. Agreed Just saw a bit on TV interviewing a Canadian Forces pilot, he...

I reload and all I can say is these bureaucrats truly are an ignorant bunch. To spend even an ounce of time on this rubbish amazes me. Yes, here's a quote of their BS; Handloading in detached dwelling only. The accidental ignition of 5 kilograms (kg) of black or smokeless powder can cause a firebal...

O/T Canadian Reloading Restrictions Coming!!

Sorry, this is off topic but I believe it is important to many Canadian members who reload. Looks like out lovely  gov't is preparing for some crippling restrictions on reloading ammunition; http://www.nfa.ca/NFAresponse2.html Even if reloading supplies are not a proven threat/hazzard, they ar...

This house was built in 1968, pretty much maintenance free except for the wooden Dashwood window frames which need painting. They wer/are very nice windows but the paint was bad, but the wood was luckily ...

How was your trap season ? Trap season is great. I have been helping to run the trap at the CSC and "kicking butt" to boot. I am running about a 97/100 average right now :D I would love to make it out to Big Bear's shoot but I am still trying to catch up on work on the place here. It was ...

Normally we have good turn outs up this way in Eastern Ontario. I have heard it seems to vary with the regions. I spoke, by phone, to one of the organizers of the Sportsmans Show, which is bringing back archery gear and those "nasty" firearms (heck, if they are doing that, I might actuall...
