i wouldnt put any oil on the rail would just attract dirt. some guys wipe it down with silicone spray sprayed on a rag. It removes old wax build up and slicks up the surface. A little wax in the serving is ok alittle goes a long way. X 2 !!! In the video Bill T uses WD40 lightly and wipes it down .

I talked to a very respected member today. His advice was a Slick trick or G5.
Go for fixed head nor mechanical. 4 blade preferably.

Thats the advice I was given. Think I will try it.
