I have two of these old Powermaster crossbows. One is very old, it must date from the 1950's or 1960's, the other is newer and dates from the mid 1970's. The old one has a pretty good trigger and is reasonably accurate, the newer one has a terrible trigger and is hard to shoot accurately. There was ...

My oldest son is 12, youngest is 9. They both shoot my Vixen with light limbs, although I have to cock the bow for the 9-year-old. I always use the rope cocking aid (mainly for better cocking consistency) even though I have no problem cocking the Vixen Light by hand. I also have an Exomag (converted...

That's a really terrible thing to happen to someone, must have been a freak accident. I hope he recovers fully, he's a longtime member and contributor to this forum. I've been lucky, the worst problem I've had so far is a sore back from cocking my crossbows.

I voted Vixen. With the standard limbs it has the power to take anything I'll ever need it for. Bolt on the light limbs and have a blast! Easy to cock, great fun to shoot, my kids love it too.

Thanks for posting this Woody. Stories like this just continue to prove how far from reality these people really are. Unfortunately there seem to be people who take them seriously.

My wife gave up trying to grow sweet corn. The coons seem to be able to read her mind and take it all the night before she's going to pick it. And I lose up to 1/3 of my concord grape crop each year to coons and possums. It varies each year, probably depending on how much other food is available to ...

Partikle, You should use the MaxZone on your Exomag. The DropZone is for the slower bows (Vixen/Exocet). I have had the same experience as 10Ring. Bought my Vixen in 2001 with a DropZone, have changed strings several times but since I set this bow up have never touched the scope. Has maintained its ...
