Designer: Hi there and a couple questions. Sorry if they've been covered already. 1. How do you prevent the slits in carbon arrow from cracking? I mean, it seems like the blades would be pushed to the rear of the slits, possibly causing cracks/splits. Hit something solid, like bone, and it seems tha...

I have the Elite Lite. It shoots ProElite carbons with 100grain tips very well for me. I am trying out Spitfires this year. So far, I've been extremely pleased with TenPoint. Their instructional video is super simple to follow. Their accessories are tailored to their products. Can't go wrong with th...

A cocking device isn't just for those who are physically unable to cock a crossbow... They help ensure accurate string alignment everytime the bow is cocked back-which makes for more accurate shooting. An Acudraw type cocking aide will allow you to cock your crossbow in a treestand safely as well.

Re: O/T. World Record Catfish.

"The fishermen had hoped to sell the massive fish to environmental groups, which planned to release it to spawn upriver, but it died before it could be handed over, and was later chopped up and sold in pieces to villagers to be eaten. "This is the largest individual fish of the species th...

She'll be standing most of the time during labor. Actually running around will make her contractions stronger. The doe I've seen given birth was in labor perhaps an hour and a half and, after cleaning jr. up and eating the placenta, was munching on grass like nothing happened. Amazing.

Cabela's, Bass Pro, and Gander Mountain all sell Tenpoint. You can search for dealers on the TenPoint web page. Gander Mountain will allow you to layaway a tenpoint, which was the only way I could afford one. :?

Which one "fits" you best

I have a tenpoint crossbow and a parker compound bow. I can tell you both are topnotch quality equipment. I too looked at Parker crossbow and came to the conclusion that they are way too unwieldy for me. If you're are a big guy, then that's o.k. Be careful of advertised speed ratings. Sure, you can ...

The state (commonwealth?) of Virginia is taking comments on the issue of allowing crossbows into the general archery season. Out of staters are permitted to comment as well. The link is :
