Getting lines (scratches) on nock end of arrows
I am getting a single 1/2" scratch on the nock end of the arrow each time it is shot (Exocet 200). Starts about 1/2" from the end of the arrow and continues to the end. It looks like something is scratching the arrow in a certain spot. Arrows are 2117 with insert used as nock and brass ins...

Larger lens than the Lumi-Zone. Should let you see earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon.

I say kudos to the his father also! We live in a world of blended families ... my generation has done a dismal job in that area.

Re: GT Nocks on 2117's
OK, I measured the OD of the 2117 arrow shafts as well as the OD of the inserts that came with the arrows, they are the same size. Then measured the OD of the GT Laser II nocks and they are about 0.012" larger in diameter. Doesn't make a difference for the brass inserts, but it probably does on...

Re: GT Nocks on 2117's
I have noticed after shooting a few times that there are two marks on the nocks that correspond to the position of the rail. Will switch to standard 2117 inserts tonight and try those. They are about the same size as the GT nocks. The ultimate solution may be to use 2216's because you can get all of...

GT Nocks on 2117's
This weekend I put together a dozen arrows using 2117 shafts, GT Laser II brass inserts and GT Laser II flat nocks. The nocks fit the inside of the shaft very well but the OD is slightly larger than the shafts. Will this cause a problem?

Re: Florida crossbow hunting
FLA-XBOW, a lot of us have switched to the crossbow because we have shoulder or elbow problems that make a compound difficult or impossible to use. In my case, it may extend my archery hunting another 10 years! It is alot of fun!

Re: New Vortex is on the way
Houser52: Had similar experience, settled a Phoenix (Ibex with traditional stock) but ended up with Exocet 200 (Vortex with traditional stock) because I might need additional power. If you use 2117 shafts, the GT Laser II inserts and nocks will work. You can order direct from GT and they ship quick....

Re: arrow fletching glue question
mchurch, I keep a rag around with some acetone when I am fletching. The glue that you need to get off is easy to do with a quick wipe. Once, you wait a while it is too late.

EZ Fetch Bolt arrived
I had ordered one of the EZ Fletch Bolt fletchers, it arrived early. I have always used a JoJan Single in the past. Fletched the arrows with 2" Blazers. It was real easy to use, placed the vanes in the jig and applied glue. I used Gorilla Super Glue. Once you get the vanes glued, you insert the...

Re: Hunting Gobblers From Treestand
I killed a turkey with a bow from a treestand several years ago. If you scratch your nose, they will see it and run, they see everything. I saw the turkey from a distance and did not move until he was behind a big tree. I drew the bow, he stepped out from behind the tree and WHAM, winner, winner tur...

Re: Custom Arrow Builders?
To me, building the arrows is part of the hunting experience. When I first started bowhunting, I was having a local bow shop do the fletching, etc. I needed some arrows on a Sunday afternoon and realized that I needed to be able to repair my own. That later led to a bow press and learning how to tun...
