I would think that light weight arrows could be the cause of the lack of pass thru's. While a light arrow may be quick and at release and have sufficient KE, they lose energy much faster upon impact than a heavier arrow with similar KE. The thread was started in reference to target shooting, I can't see how the thread got turned around. Personally, I could care less what some smuck thinks about someone shooting long range with a crossbow. I have had a ton of fun doing it up to around 100 yards, if I had the room I'd love to shoot 2...
