I picked up 2 used Sony P-41 cameras for $39 each. The kits for $125 are a deal. Those Sony are in demand for trail cams and hard to find.

I was really worried about hunting this year. I was in a club that was loaded with turkeys. We lost the lease and I had to join another in a hurry. Things didn't work out there because it was primarily a dog hunting (chase deer with hounds) club. They didn't like my anti-dog comments published elsew...

2008 Spring Gobbler in 10 minutes

Here's my 2008 season condensed to 10 minutes to fit YouTubes time limit. A few stills from past years but the video was all this spring.

New is around $400. We have Bass Pro close and not really anywhere that carries them. I got mine on-line. Now if that was the last Matrix and I couldn't get another one - priceless. I've got about 20 holes in the netting if that tells you something.

Rocket Slammerheads or Steelheads. I picked them because I can shoot through mesh in blinds accurately and I don't have to change heads or arrows to hunt out of a tree or the blind. 1 head for all. I've taken over a half dozen gobblers with them.

Details...... Rocket Slammerhead with 2 rubber bands. They weigh in at 93 grains or so. I add a 5gr brass washer to get as close to 100gr as possible. Shot through the mesh in a DB Matrix blind. Stock Stryker arrows re-fletched with 2" blazers. Bird taken at 30 yds. Video is through the mesh as...

I had the opposite 2 weeks ago. Had a huge gobbler with zero beard. Nothing not 1 hair. Here the law is bearded only so even though he had a red head and 1"+ spurs he wasn't a legal bird.

The source was screwing around on two sites making an ass out of himself and made a big mistake by sending me an email in poor taste. I was encouraged by some other members of both forums to state my case. The rest is history. Remember that Bigbird? I was a hero for a day! Donno if that was the per...

They're not acting right this year for me either. Nothing much or at all a lot of mornings. Then around 7am or later they sound off a few times. I haven't had one of those "hot bird" days this year. Last year they went nuts. Still tagged one with the xbow. Was sitting in the blind in a BIG...
