Here in Eastern Washington, we have not had snow since the middle of January! Totally I think we have only had about 3 ft. worth which is very much below average. Hopefully, spring will bring a lot of rain. Later this week they are calling for 60 degree temperatures.

Stripping veins

What is the best way to strip veins from both carbon and aluminum shafts? Once they are stripped and there is some residual veins and glue what should I used to strip that as well? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Brodhead testing update...

Work has been pretty hectic the past week or so, and with my brother coming in from serving in Saudi Arabia this week is pretty shot with family functions. Therefore, work on the broadhead testing application has been going rather slow. The database is 90% complete, so there is light at the end of t...

I just purchased the Exocet 200, and my brother has Robin Hooded, shooting one bolt into the back of another, three of my bolts so far. I have not personally shot my xbow since I have not yet adapted it to my shooting rig. As far as craftsmanship goes I'm not sure that you could find a better xbow a...

The first set I was going to test are the WASP SST's that came with the deluxe package of my Exocet. In an ideal world I would like to have all of the heads donated to the cause; alas it is not an ideal world so I will probably have to fork out some cash along the way. In the meantime, however, I'm ...

Broadhead testing criteria is finished for review.

With the help of GaryL and Woody Williams, I think I have the testing criteria to be used to judge broadheads in a fair, systematic, and unbiased way. If anyone is interested the URL is:http://jimmace.com/outdoors/broadheadtest/criteria.htm. I do have to warn you, it is a little lengthy... :-)

I just received my first Exocet 200 from him the other week, and he is hands down the best dealer I have never dealt with in just about anything from computer parts to other outdoor equipment. He can definitely count on my return business. Bottom line, there is Good, Great, then there's BJ... :-)

Thank you very much. I'm trying to come up with some "practical" or "real world" tests that will give the hunter/shooter a non biased way to compare different broadheads not only for using crossbows, but compound, recurve, and longbows as well. The tests performed by American Hun...

ICQ is a instant messaging application somewhat similar to MSN and Yahoo Messenger on steroids... :-) The number is used like your Hotmail address for the MSN messenger.

I was thinking that for one test that could be somewhat practical, in theory anyway, would be to place 1/2-3/4 piece of particleboard (to simulate ribs) on either side of say an apple, I was thinking about oranges, but that could get a little expensive (to simulate muscle and organ tissue). At prede...

Thanks for the complements guys. When I get the documentation worked up I will post it for your comments. I do believe that this should be a collaborative process, so it is truly unbiased. As for my German Shepherd, her name is Hope and she is nine months old. I am training her to be a service dog f...

Broadhead analysis web site redesign. Opinions needed...

The following address is a data driven web page that attractively displays a broadhead analysis based on American-Hunter.com broadhead testing results. After noticing how inconsistent their analysis display is for each broadhead I decided to rearrange the information in a database that is more attra...

I watched the video, and it looks very impressive. However, after trying to research the broadhead by going to their root domain, the web site promotes a high-speed camera system rather than the actual broadhead used. Any ideas?
