Working up your own "loads"...

My father, my brothers, and I want to start getting into archery. I have an Exocet 200 that should be hereby the end of the week, Yahoo! Anyway, since there is going to be four of us that will be shooting I was thinking that it would probably be more economical if, since we are starting out, to buil...

Exocet 200 trigger pull

Group,

Would any of you know what the trigger pull for the Exocet 200 and 175 would be?

These are all great ideas, but some state regulations specify that you cannot have any mechanical device hold the bow at full draw. (e) It is the illegal to use any device secured to or supported by the bow for the purpose of maintaining the bow at full draw or in a firing position, except for hunte...

I could not agree more. My future in-laws that hunt the archery season in Montana have asked me to go with them, but Montana has a no xbow policy even for the disabled. This is really too bad since it has been my dream since before I could remember.

I'm often amazed by people's ignorance; most individuals go through life in their own little bubble. Once I was waiting outside a business when I got to my scheduled appointment early and I did not have anyone to open the door for me. Usually, I have no problem asking people if they could grab the d...

I have an order in to Wayne as well, and I too am anxiously waiting. I have ordered the new Exocet, and I cannot wait to hook it up to my shooting rig so that I can practice. One of the great things about archery is that you do not necessarily need a long range for practice. Personally, before my in...

I know that Bill explicitly states not to use nocks, and upon closer examination I have noticed that there is a recess for the string. Therefore, my question is, "Will the use of these nocks be endorsed by Excalibur?" Of course, one could file down or cut off the nock so that it is flat, b...

bstout I know, to a point, where you are coming from. Growing up, I was an avid outdoorsman until a rock climbing accident rendered me paralyzed from the shoulders down with very little movement in my arms and hands (basically enough to operate a electric wheelchair through a joystick and work a com...

Hoss, After I broke my neck during my senior year in high school, my little brothers elementary school (he was a 5-year-old kindergartner at the time) had a fundraiser where many of the children chipped in the left over lunch money and allowance to help me save for a handicap van. I'll never forget ...

Thanks guys

Thanks. It just seems that fluid heads about double in price after about 9 pounds of capacity, so I'm glad to see that they are relatively light. Thanks again.

Rail and limb weight

Gang, Does anyone know what the EXOMax and/or EXOMag rail and limb weights are? I'm starting to plan my shooting rig that will let me shoot a crossbow from my electric wheelchair. I need to know the weight because I want to get the right tripod fluid head for the weight of the crossbow without the s...

Safety image

Can somebody please post a picture of the ambidextrous safety mechanism of the Excalibur EXOMax, EXOMag, and Exocet. I would assume that it is the same safety mechanism for each one, so just one image of either of the three would be great. Thanks in advance.

I have a number of DVD's where some of the pro staff guys were using buck and/or doe decoys, and whenever they saw a shooter they got the buck's attention by using a grunt call or rattling antlers and the buck gets downwind and makes a beeline to the decoy. Personally, I have not used a decoy, and i...
