gunoil: I don't shoot a Barnett, I shoot An Excalibur. Anyway, welcome to the website! I don't know the answer to the bolt problem, but I would suggest that you set the top crosshair at 10 yards and at 5 yard increments out to 30 yards for the bottom crosshair. Really, you should limit shots at game...

Come On Guys, Cool the Language!!!!!
GUYS: LET'S COOL THE LANGUAGE!!!!!!!! This is a crossbow site and we don't need hunting camp language to discuss Excalibur bows! I left the site after the 2004 election because of some really nasty political talk that is inconsistent with the goals of this site. I am a Christian; I hate homosexualit...

Guys: I have found that with my Exocet and NAP Spitfire broadheads (125gr.) the braodhead impacts 1/2 inch lower than with the field tip. The only reason I say this is that my Exo is so reproducible that I can do it over and over. About targets, why not quit trying to reinvent the wheel and go to Wa...

I am so paranoid about pulling a cocked bow up to my stand WITH the safety on that I put a heavy rubber band around the stock and then over the safety to ensure that it will no be accidentally tripped off if it hits the trunk or a limb on a nearby tree. Nothing in life is certain, but I think this r...

I feel like all of us who shoot Excaliburs have bolts with damaged fletchings. If you shoot at the same point on the target without removing bolts already fired, It won't be long before you have a bolt perfect to use for unloading your bow before roping it down from the stand. Just remove your good ...

I have been using NAP Spitfires (125 grain) for 3 years. 5 shots, 5 kills, no premature opening. I do not make any modifications (i.e. bands) to discourage premature opening. My Exocet, using XX75 aluminum bolts and 125 grain NAP broadheads ( total weight -387 grains) provides 295-296 fps velocity a...

WABI: I had a bad fall in 1987 while attempting to move a steel ladder stand. Two surgeries, 3 months off from work, $25,000 worth of hospital and surgeries. I only fell about 12 feet, but the ground was hard and I crushed my left wrist. I now use a Summit Viper stand and their really nice harness. ...

I would buy the Exocet. I am going into my 4th season with mine, and it has taken down each deer I have shot at, and all have collapsed within 100 yards of being hit. I am convinced that if two deer were standing shoulder to shoulder, I could take both with the same shot. The reason I say this is th...
