Re: Bowhunting and speed
. Fast bows have a downside most folks don't consider: everything, esp the arrow, has to be just right to get consistent accuracy. I agree 100% I still like a fast arrow. I like to get close, that part will not change for me. The speed just help me make a better shot and I can add weight to the arr...

Re: Leupold scope question
I have a 2X7 I got from Danny Miller a couple of years ago.
I used to have to check my scope and recheck it because it would be off one way or the other all the time.
The Leupold is awesome, I zero'd it once and it's been perfect since.

Re: Ideal shot distance?
Ideal . . .ideal shot distance is where you have your crosshairs set. No joking. If your crosshairs are at "zero" at 20 yards, then that's your ideal distance. I set up for a 20 yard shot when hunting and that's the distance I practice the most. 20 yards is my ideal shot distance. String j...

Re: Use two rubber bands with expandables
Actually you can dispense with ALL extra bands and in-flight deployment: Slick Tricks std or mags. my thought exactly.. Rather off topic, but, you guys know I can go into a three page rant on why expandables, even with their imperfections, are way better at killing deer than a fixed blade . . .and ...

Re: Use two rubber bands with expandables
There is a large difference in quality between the dental elastics and the rubberbands that come with the broadheads. There is also a difference in the thickness of the dental elastics, I use the thicker ones. Using two of the elastics is OK, it works. However, using two o-rings is not recommended, ...

Re: RIP Harold Webber
Sad to hear of this . . .I only got to meet him once at Boo's cottage. I remember how stinking good he was at shooting his crossbow, off hand bullseyes everytime. Fun to talk to and as everyone else knows, a great guy.
Prayers for him and his family.
Thanks for the post Don.

Re: Point restrictions
I just wanted to clarify, I am in favor of the restrictions. We did some self imposed restrictions on our property . . .and that's how I found out that it can be hard at times. But, I tend to forget about those restrictions during bow season. I can't seem to get my cousin to hold off on shooti...

Re: Point restrictions
A couple of years ago, in VA., I shot two bucks and thought both were 8 pointers . . .they were both 6 pointers, no brow tines . . .so, I can understand your frustrations.

That's awesome! You did make her drag it out, right?
Good looking buck. Hope all goes well for her over the next few weeks and years ahead with the baby.
