Is it only my who think that this is nothing else than brutal and sick (even if it were true)? I get scared of the thought that 11 year olds have access to guns. They are easily scared and no one can know who they might shoot by mistake... But this might be my Swedish soul speaking. I/we have never ...

Ibex - A fitting name
I got happy when I noted the appearance of the Ibex crossbow a few weeks ago. I think it is very fitting that the Ibex has been reintroduced into the world of crossbows. The life of Ibexes has gone hand in hand with crossbows from almost the beginning. Their horns has powered thousands of crossbows ...

WOW! I was wondering where the leafspring from the rear of my truck went! :? :D I have heard stories of people trying train leafsprings 8) Don't make crossbow bows from leafsprings!! It's a risk in it. The fear for steel bows in medieval crossbow replicas comes from people using old leafsprings tha...

Those hand crank winches have a thousand and one uses. They are also quite handy when you try to get your string on your 640 pound medieval steel bow... http://www.lysator.liu.se/~skarek/pictures/byggen/armborst/stalborst/016_s.jpg http://www.lysator.liu.se/~skarek/pictures/byggen/armborst/stalbors...

Temperature restrictions for the bows?
Has anyone seen any temperature restrictions stated for the bows? Anyone have any experience of performance tests in really cold weather? We have about -25° to -30 ° C (about -15 F) here at the moment and I just started to wonder... Not that you are really tempted to stay outdoors practicing a lot w...

Frell... After checking some pictures from the ATA show I think I understand what people are talking about. I have that metal thingie to connect the sling to. My conclusion is that the x-tender won't fit my bow then. And that makes me quite sad... Sad that a half a year old bow is to old to ad...

That quote can only be found on the CHEEKPIECE page, not on the X-tender page. There you can read: The X-TENDER clips onto any of our thumbhole stocks or our new traditional stock* in seconds to securely and quietly increase length of pull by .5, .75, or 1 inch. So how new is new? The * might mean t...
