Re: Turkey hunting seat?
The "Turkey Lounger" from Cabelas is my favorite. I used it some during deer season this year. Very comfortable! http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0036277517165a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryT...

Re: Anyone currently hunting deer?
The season is open until the end of February here in Ark. I went out tonight with my Ibex and my daughter. I shot at one, but I think I shot a little high. I'll go out as much as I can until the season is over.

Re: ground blinds
I've seen a lot of deer from my ground blind. I spray it on occasion with acorn rage scent. I've had deer come within 15 ft of me. I don't know about an open field though. Unless there are some trees nearby that you can put it close to.

Re: feeding deer
I use corn in the feeder I made. I put in 100# Monday. I haven't checked how much the deer and other critters have eaten. Trying to get a figure how long it will last me.

Re: Homemade deer feeder
I used whole corn. I don't think there would be a difference. The deer will eat it up. Had a small doe come to the feeder this evening. She ate for a little bit, got wind of me and took off. It sure was fun watching her.

The feeder seems to be working well. I put them up Saturday, and I had to fill them back up today.

Re: Warm boots?
Try a pair of Ugg's I have a pair of men's that are super warm. If I wear wool socks with them, they're all I need.

Homemade deer feeder
Anyone ever made a pvc deer feeder before? I made one from 5' tall 4" pvc. I'm going to drive it in the ground about 7". I made a hole about 8" from the bottom. The hole is big enough for me to fit 3 fingers through it. I wear XL gloves. Will this hole be big enough for the deer to fe...

Re: New Ibex
Just got that Ibex today. It sure does shoot great. I already have it sighted in and ready to take it hunting. How different will the 125 gr G5's and the practice heads shoot?
