I have the Outhouse by Ameristep, it is 68" square at the base and 78" tall at the peak, (cone shaped) and is ONLY big enough for ONE (1) and ONLY ONE (1) person to shoot a crossbow out of! If you are going to get a blind, get the Doghouse $79-$99 at Wal-mart. The Outhouse is $49 @ Wal-mar...

Lesson Learned..The hard way!

After taking all of your advice and buying a Vixen, sighting it in, and here in Ala. I was just using the stock optic/peep sight that came with it. Well I had my first chance at a shot on Sat. and realized that you have to shoot with both eyes open! With the deer in the brush approaching my shooting...

Thanks to you people I was shown how to do it. At the top of the forum on the address line change the last number to 1650 or 2200 or 2650 or etc. these will all take you back to an older topic page keep playing with the numbers til you get back to where you want to be, then just remember what page y...

Forum Help

I just love this forum and enjoy the reading. Can anyone tell me how to go back to prev. pages, say 55 without having to start at page 3 then go to 4 then 5, etc. Is there a way to just type in a page number and hit go? Thanks guys and good hunting.Ala. opens on Sat. me and my new Vixen will be there.

New Vixen

I received my new Vixen on Tuesday, Had a chance to shoot it (or any xbow) for the first time today. I love it! : I did notice that when I first installed the string that it lined up with the outer line on the bolt rest, now after shooting about a dozen times, it is moved between the lines a little....

Cut the rack off the one on the wall and replace with the spike horns, that will get more comments of why you had the spike mounted. All its doing is collecting dust anyway! LOL

Well you will all be happy to know I took your advice and ordered the Excalibur Vixen ($285) and the basic Access. package ($119) from Bowhunters Super Store on Friday, should receive the package by Weds. Here in Alabama I can't use the Vari-zone scope, will a standard Red Dot mount on my new Vixen? and will it work OK?

One more question. In Alabama you can use a scope but it must not have any magnification, such as a Red Dot, does the Excal Vari-zone have any magnification to it?

OK I've read all your replys, checked with a lot of other forums about xbows and one thing is shown up! Every other brand has had something negative said about it...except Excal. So that means a lot to me...Lets go shopping!
