Butcher Game

So I was wondering...who here butchers their own game?

I ask because I'm looking for guidance really, as I was hoping to butcher my own this year.

Information is pretty tough to come by...and this is not someting I'd enjoy messing up...

Welcome to the forums Steve, just joined up not long ago with the same intro post as you!

Finally went with the Phoenix...for the regular stock (I like not having to release my grip to remove the safety)

Re: Shot my Phoenix today...

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I was thinking the same thing...didn't exactly want to go and buy more firebolts for the moment (I've spent enough in the last week or so...) Will be getting a better target soon and will definately be shooting DIFFERENT spots. Shot my Phoenix today...

Shot my Phœnix today and boy was I a happy camper. I put it together just last week and went to the camp today for a few practice shots. Here are a couple pics of my groupings...I was quite impressed with the accuracy, considering I was standing without anything to lean on. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_P58...

Re: Decock every 2 hours?

Well I've taken the plunge and bought a Phoenix today. Lite Stuff kit. I'll be getting it by Purolator tomorrow. 8)

I'm pretty excited I must say. Can't wait to get it and put it together. :D

Thanks everyone for your great comments, truly appreciated.

Re: Excalibur T-Shirts???

It would be pretty easy to open a cafepress shop at minimal cost. They handle everything after that. They print it all on whatever you like:

T-shirts

caps

mugs

stickers

baby clothes...

I'd certainly buy some :-)

Re: Decock every 2 hours?

Thanks guys. I was already quite sure I'd be getting an Excal and with your answers, I'd certainly be a fool to do otherwise.

Besides being accurate, it's a homegrown product. and to me that was a major selling point.

I'll let you guys know what I buy when I do. Thanks. 8)
