Ray, I was that kid who moved away for school, sure you cannot get out there hunting together all the time, but the times you have are appreciated.

Did not even think of the TP, but that is why I am the one running with my knees together the morning after a moose chili night.

Never without a compass, forgot it once and almost spent the night.

Never with hunters who drink in the bush.

Dad got one again this year

He got his second bird, 2 were fighting over the decoys.
He said it was too close, he may have hit it with the first shot under 10 yards but then dropped it on the third.

18lbs, 3/4" spurs, 9 1/4" beard

Now my turn on his property, giving it a go on monday morning.

Looks like a good day.

One question, the tail on the one looks very sparse, why might that have happened?

I saw what I swore was a jake last year, 10 yards away. The head was red but it was raining and I could not tell if there was a small beard there or just matted feathers. When in doubt let it walk.

There needs to be a beard to be legal in Ontario.

Inside town limits? St. Agatha limits? Or just over the wilmot line into Waterloo, I hate when you see big bucks, lots of geese and turkeys just on the wrong side of that Wilmot line.

Fox news, you just dropped another notch, no idea how that is possible.

I guess it is time to head out to my horse and trade some beaver pelts.

Looking at getting a nice DSLR once I graduate, if I can get a job, then I will make a run at being the next RJ (ya right).

Speaking of jobs, anyone know of a company looking for an entry level mechanical designer?

Hey, I have to try everywhere.

Getting antsy for the outdoors - pics and big ones

Hey guys, I thought I would post a couple pics I have taken over the years, maybe if I do this hunting and fishing will come sooner. Maybe not. Here is an Eagle from a fishing trip to Dryden. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i48/rschnarr/Outdoors/01230011.jpg A couple nice lakers from 24 weekend a ...

Thanks for the heads up guys.
CH312 has been sketchy on a few forums over the years, no idea why but there are just some people.

I don't post any pics though, ha ha, I never take pics that are nice enough.
Maybe I will go and check my photobucket and add some OT pics as a test.

Survivorman hunting!

Hey guys, I am not sure who all saw it but Les Stroud, the Survivorman did an episode where he was surviving near Temagami with a friend. It was setup as if they were hunting and got lost for 7 days, I really enjoyed it. It brought in the 3 shots rule, keeping whistles on you and how dangerous trust...
