We call them "Texas" mounts and that is all we've done and we do them ourselves. I think they look bad-ass. We've got 3 curing right now and then we'll boil them to get all the guts out.

I guess it's different in my WMU (92). The second controlled hunt is on this week and according to the regs the achery season opens again on the 23rd to the 29th, then another contolled hunt and archery again from Dec 7th to 31st. So...Since there is no Sunday gun hunting in my WMU can I archery hun...

Question about Ontario Gun/Achery season.
This week is the second gun season (controlled hunt) for southern Ontario. With many areas not having Sunday gun hunting can a person start archery hunting again on Sunday or would they need a controlled hunt seal? Just curious because I'm off this weekend and would like to go out on Sunday if I can...

Cheap bag target from walmart works fine for us or make you own. Large feed bag stuffed with old clothes (remove buttons and zippers) or plastic bags or shrink wrap. If you know someone that works in a shipping/receiving dept. where they get pallets in wrapped in plastic have him/her save it for you...

I agree. You'll be better off splitting it up and will likely make more money. Not too many people can fork out all the money required to get started in hunting all at once. We started with one bow and some hand-me-down camo 3 years ago and now we have we have 1000s of dollars worth of equipment but...

Okay...sorry from your last post I thought you were looking for something to bring in with you each time. Ladder stands are definitely a good option. Walmart in the US will put their 2 man stands on sale at the end of the season for a ridiculously low price. They are pretty basic but do the job and ...

If you're looking at something to take in, set up and hunt you need a climber or a small light weight hang on and some screw in pegs or gorilla sick. 3 gorilla sticks will get you as high as you need to be and they are light weight and portable. Again the States is the best place. You can get a chea...

I have 2 ladder stands....1 Gander Mountain Deluxe model. It has arm rests, a shooting rail and a padded backrest that straps to the tree. All these tings are nice but the problem is the seat is not deep enough which translates into being uncomfortable. The other is from Dick's sports. It's just a b...
