I use two layers of 100% poly as underwear. The first layer is light weight summer type with a polar expedition weight over it. The next layer is wool as it can get wet and still keep you warm. I wear 4 laters including camo bib on the bottoms and 5 layers on the torso. Super warm boots with mohair ...

Congratulations on the fur. The warm weather that is arriving this week will clear the snow and make some corn and hay fields open, especial on the wind swept knolls. Sooner or later we are going to get some honkers. Is anyone seeing any Snow Geese? Cashed in on the sale on ammo Friday at Bass so I ...

wim, As you can read by the numerous posts on the subject, there is a running debate regarding menchanicals vs conventional broadheads. There are staunch supporters on both sides of the question. I suggest you take the Right Stuff package and then experiment, as we all do, with what suits you best. ...

Pretty average year for me. Passed on a doe in the first week of Oct. Took an 8 pt on Oct 13 and a 6 pt two weeks later. Missed a running shot with the rifle at a really nice buck Nov. 8 (the only deer I saw during gun season.) Passed on a two young bucks in mid Dec. I have meat and especially treas...

Got a Summit Viper last year. Love it. However, that being said I have been hunting more ground set ups this year than ever before. No blinds, just go in a set up at the base of tree or dead fall. I have 3 climbers and 5 protables. The Viper is tops.

Greywolf, The aluminum with the Spitefire is a magical combination for me. Lots of deer have gone down, including Chocolate (number 13 in Ontario all time cross bow in '99), to this combination. If you do not get a pass through, the aluminum shaft will bend when it strikes a tree. This allows the ar...

Hey Apple-Orchard, Got to agree. This year I went with Mohair socks from Thermohair in Mountain Ontario. Wow, soft and warm even in our Canadian winter. I have been eyeing the wool 80% 20% blend as I hear it does not itch. Have you tried any of the Beagle wear? They are located in Johnson, Vermont a...
