Re: A few Photos

The little brown fella is a mink. He popped out of his den right beside us. Didn't even know he was there. He didn't know I was there either. We were both surprised!

Re: A few Photos

Every winter the Annapolis Valley is treated with literally hundreds and hundreds of eagles. Makes for some great photo opportunities. The eagle pictures were from a few that were perched in a tree overhanging a narrow dirt road. That and a 500mm telephoto..... They spook real easy though. One has t...

Crossbow Care and Storage

Do you folks have any ideas on crossbow care and storage, over the winter.....
Our Crossbow hunting opportunities ends tomorrow, here in Nova Scotia, just looking for some different ideas.

Thanks so much.

You are right ninepointer, no one gives a hoot about crossbows, federally.

Our Provincial Chief Firearms Office has the same stance.

I think I was duped!

Where do You Shoot in The Off-Season?

We had a quick meeting this afternoon with an archery club, found out most archery clubs in NS will not allow crossbows as they are not registered as rifle ranges. It seems crossbows are not considered archery tackle here in Nova Scotia. Kinda caught me off guard! Is this a similar issue in other ju...

We recently purchased the camo version. The set came with earpieces and a handy little charger set-up. So far so good. Lots of features, like text messaging, and weather stations, silent mode...etc. Texting is slow, as it only utilizes the number keys, but still convenient. My kids are great at text...

I think its BS.
The same guy made a post 6 days before that one, saying he was going to take a picture with a rifle beside the deer.
Its been a while since he proclaimed to have made the kill, still no picture as proof.
I think dude is a liar, just trying to stir up trouble.

Stash, Funny you mention that. I have more success with my oldest. He has been by my side with both moose and deer. My baby boy, 8 this year has yet to participate in a harvest, other than rabbits. I so want to have both with me, but I am thinking it may be an impossible feat, for now. My thought is...

My boys are 15 and 8. I am more concerned with the boredome than anything. Its hard to keep the youngsters focused while hunting. I do not get annoyed as such, just find keeping them amused while hunting....is...well.....a challenge at times. Our youth hunt will not kick in until my oldest is 16. Ev...
