Re: String Jump
Just to clarify . . .I watched several videos of deer "jumping the string" . . .however, to me it looked like the deer were playing dodge ball with the arrow. Of course, the videos I watched were slow moving arrows compared to the arrows we sling today with these crossbows. I can't count t...

Re: To much arrow weight?
It's not just a matter of weight . . .it's the distribution of weight. You still want to maintain a reasonable FOC in order to keep the arrow from "nose diving".
Otherwise, downrange accuracy will suffer and those yardage markers on your recticles could be off.

Re: String Jump
I've seen deer not react to gunshot that was on the next ridge 100 yards away. I'm not so sure they react to sound as much as they try to avoid the arrow. I like your idea . . .just not so sure how useful it will be. Too many variables. We need to focus more on human error and eliminating that. I've...

Re: A Word of Warning - Beware
I always pull my trigger with the safety on before I load an arrow. . .how else do you know if the safety is working? I figured, worse case would be a dry fire. Boy was I wrong.
Never a problem.

Re: first and last fletching jig
I have the AZ EZ and like it a lot. Only down side is the adhesive build-up . . .not sure if this is true for all jigs. I have had mine for 6 years . . .still as good as new.

Re: Increased range with 405?
You can increase your range by knowing your equipment better . . .however, the better the hunter, the shorter the range . . .just the way it is . . .I mean, who wouldn't perfer to have a 20 yard shot over a 40 yard shot? Anyway, I set up for a 20-30 yard shot and that's what I normally get. That has...

So, Wes . . .you have money in an off shore account . . .and blaming Walmart for not considering it legal tender. Problem isn't Walmart nor off shore accounts . . .it's these fraud artists that use off shore accounts to rip people off. Should be easy enough to find another place to cash the ch...

Re: Put a leupold shotgun scope on my 355 hate it.
I can't say enough good things about my Leupold.
However, the main thing is how easy it is to get the exact "zero" and then it stays there. It dials in smoothly . . .just love it.

No worries Boo, I can only pick them up consistantly at 0 speed.
Seriously, I have trouble picking them up consistantly due to the recoil . . .not the speed.
How is the recoil on the 405?

Re: Making a crossbow fish arrow
Have you tried it out yet? I'd like to figure out a way to convert my Vixen to a fishing bow . . .but, I do not want to cut down the rail. So, how heavy would I need to make the arrow and is there a weight that exceeds the recommended weight?

Re: Who Pre stretches their backup
Pre-stretching is not a requirement to get the same POI as a stretched string. You will get the same POI if you use the idential string and same brace height. However, if you do not pre-stretch the string, then you will need to maintain it more closely while hunting. Your brace height could change s...
