Clearly I don't know for sure, but the same company makes submersible night vision and thermal sights, some of them cost up to (ready?) $20K
One would think they know how to make a scope...

KK, for years I thought it was illegal.
Last year there was a lengthy discussion on the topic on huntontario forums and the consensus was it's legal. I don't remember the details, but you can look it up if interested.

I apply wax once a year, probably should be doing twice - seems to be working.
Mother's works well for the best results use all products in the series, including clay bar.
There are write-ups on the net how to do it properly.
