Re: faulty cocking aid
It's not hard to have the rope cocker drop in behind safety with out noticing and that would result in a scratch.

Re: faulty cocking aid
In the video he says Excalibur told him he was cocking it wrong. So it sounds like he did talk to them prior to making the video.

Re: faulty cocking aid
First off not accusing or saying you did this.
But I have seen a common mistake where the first time cocking a bow with this method.
Hooks are attached to string but not looped to the groove in the stock the string is over the rail to the opposite hook this would cause the rollers to touch the rail.

Re: String Serving
Check and see if it is right at the claw touch points.
I have seen before where the bow is over cocked and the back of the slot where the string goes in, and it can be sharp and cut the serving.

Good observation on the shooting up sometimes we can overlook the simple things when we get an idea in our heads.

Re: Cocking mechanism doesn't work after dryfire
I purchase lawnmower starter cord of comparable diameter and change the string regularly, esp if it starts chafing. Your serving material has to be approximately .030" in diameter and very strong. Any old Dynema material won't do. Highly suggest Halo (Angel Majesty is even better but hard to f...

Re: Need for speed ?
I wish they would make a model with a variable speed setting. If all you have to do is vary the length of pull, from an engineering standpoint, it should be very doable. I guess it might not be profitable to do that though. Ten point makes one it is called the GT flex would be cool to see an Excali...
