Re: Longest Service...
...after many years of searching, I came across an "Astro Daco Scropion 150lb" which has the same limb so I do have a little safety line, but it would no longer the an "orginal". Tom I used to have a Scorpion, given to me by a friend, then I gave it to ol' Digger. My friend went...

Re: Sneak peak...
Gaston mentioned to me that my top-mount quiver bracket contributes to noise. Has anyone here noticed more noise with their top-mounts?

Thanks for your confidence, but no 12 yet for me.maple wrote:Hey Ninepointer. Where's that 12 point of yours?
Spikes, 4's, 6's, 8's and an 11-point. No 10's either. Did I mention the 9's? I don't find them, they find me!

Re: Antler assembly line (done!)
Things got a bit busy over the holidays, but I finally finished them up last night. These 2 went to a buddy. I sure hope I didn't cause any trouble, because as I was leaving his place the last words I heard his wife say to him were, "You can hang them in the garage, but you are NOT hanging them...

Re: Who else is shooting an old school Excalibur?
Great, keep them coming! Anything counts if it pre-dates: Micro/Matrix/Vixen II/Axiom/Ibex. Great to see so many of these bows doing what they were born to do! Here's another pic of my Exocet 165, when it was still in its original state (other than the cheek-piece I added): http://img.photobucket.co...

Who else is shooting an old school Excalibur?
With all the latest Excalibur offerings we're seeing, I got to wondering how many of us are still shooting a crossbow that's been relegated to the "Previous Models" section of the catalogue? My Excalibur Exocet 165 (the first and only Excal I've owned) has been going strong for 20 years no...

Antler assembly line (done!)
With the evenings long these days, I got on a bit of a roll this week. Two of mine from years past and two (the bigger ones) for a friend. They're just test assembled for now, to be taken apart for final sanding, stain and varnish. It keeps me home and out of the taverns and pinball parlours  h...

Re: Why aren't the deer hitting this cornfield?
Leaves me wondering if early in the season its better to treat standing corn as a bedding area rather than a food source, and adjust strategies accordingly?

Re: Moultrie D40 trail cam problem
OK, some progress. I've discovered that it works in the light, even a lit room, as long as there's light hitting the light sensor. But in the dark it doesn't register any pics (in neither auto or manual shutter) and there's no flash. Been through all the settings. Thanks for the suggestions so far. ...
