I normally never shoot at the same target twice, however the range was empty and I was pretending to be walking in the bush, along the target line and my thought was since I was from a totally different position I was safe. It was totally an accident and I now have learned my lesson. I think given t...

Almost a Robin hood?
The other day at the range I made the mistake of shooting for the same 3d buck, the second time from a different angle. Luckily the angle caused the 2nd bolt too shove the first all the way through but it ran along side the first only leaving behind a few minor scratches on the shaft. I still can't ...

Sleddog2, Congrats on passing! Are you in WMU 86A? You have a nice long bow only season, lucky you. If you need any help keeping your deer population down, let me know...my folks have a cottage up at Port Elgin which is just north west of you. I believe you can apply for a nuisance tag. Go to your c...

Easton Crossbow Hunter XX75 2216. I just put buzz busters on the factory string and cammo sight cover, but those were purchased after the fact from the arhersnook online store. I am going to use Spitfire Pro 3 blade mechanical broadheads. I just didn't want to have run back downstairs to check out m...

Thanks everyone for all advice. I appreciate all the work that you have put into compiling this info me. Sandman I loved being able to view your pics, it takes that uncertainty away from me, I do realize every trail is different, but now I have seen one. Grizz I definitely plan on getting in on ever...

Being new to the crossbow and hunting world I have no idea why people are against xbow. To me it makes no sense. If I couldn't xbow hunt, I would just rifle, shotgun, muzzleload or bow hunt. Makes no difference to me. Sure the xbow was easier for me to learn than a bow, but if I had no previous expe...

Blood trails
The only game I ever witnessed being harvested was a doe with a 300 mag and no trailing req. As novice hunter I have not found any info on tracking. Do you have any advice? Also does anyone have pics of a blood trail? How much blood is left on the ground to follow (I am using 3 head Spitfire mechani...
