Impressive anniversary gift!

I cock mine once have it up in my stand with me.

I did some long range shots at the range (50 yards) and with high gusting winds. My shots tended to get blown off course about 4 inches compared to at 20 yards. When the wind died down that same afternoon, they where back on track. I know I would definitely stay away from long shots in high winds.

I keep all my accessories and clothes in the garage. The garage is basically my room, but my hunting magazines can be found in the bathrooms :? It isn't my wife the prevents me from spreading out, it is the kids and puppy who basically rule the house. And I don't want anyone to get hurt or worse yet...

I haven't had any problems with my treestand yet, but I chained and locked it up in position. Knock on wood.

I have noticed a lack of deer in my area too, even on the roads. In the past when driving the back roads I would see groups of deer. Lately I haven't seen any. I think last years winter combined with high predation took its toll on the population. This winter the coyotes will likely take a down fall...
