Re: 1st 3D shoot of the year.
For those that have never been to The Grenville Fish & Game Club, it is located at 2596 Campbell Road North just north of the Town of Prescott. Take Exit 716 off Highway 401 and go north on Edward Street (Highway 18) to MacIntosh Rd. Turn west and continue until the road ends at Campbell Road No...

A dry bar of soap
I use a dry bar of soap and rub a coat of it on the first 4 inches of my arrow. I also have Danny's arrow puller if I can't pull by arrows out my hand. I used to use arrow lube but found when an arrow buries itself in a worn 3D foam target the lube coated itself along the entire shaft. When that hap...

Re: Taking off the dissapator brackets
Parts Required: Part# 99870 4 10-32x1" screws. Part# 99873 2 Aluminum tapered washers. Excalibur cost would be $15.50 + for the four screws and two washers. 1. Take the pads off the bar then remove the string to relax the limbs. Remove the 4 machine bolts (2 each side) on the recoil plates for ...

I contacted Leupold about the discontinued issue. As of right now the scope comes packaged either in a box or a blister pack. The boxed packaging has been discontinued.

I use a Vortex bubble level that attaches to the tube of the scope (comes either 1" or 30-34-35mm).

Re: Grain scale?
Local pawn shops here in Ottawa sell them new (small electronic scales (grams, oz and grains)). Give some local ones a call where you live, you might get lucky.

Re: Shooting rest
I use the Primos Anchor Adjustable Group Therapy Rest. It comes with a pin to quickly detach the front half from the back half for storage. Changed that for a bolt and very happy using the rest to sight by bow in with. No complaints.

"Does the Nox' come with the S5 & D-bars from factory?"...yes it does. I bought my 2011 Equinox for its flatter trajectory to shoot 3D year round. I am 5"10" and will be 60 in January. No problems, no regrets. When I am not at a tournaments I am on the range practicing. I do ...

Re: Leupolds and close yardage
8ptbuk, my HHA Speed Dial has made it from PA to Mississauga Ontario on Friday via USPS. I will have it in Ottawa early next week. Right now it is snowing here and -12C. Hoping for a warm day soon so I can sight the bow in with my new toys before the year is out. Unfortunately the extended forecast ...

Re: Leupolds and close yardage
Thanks for your responses. Took the plunge and bought it. What can I say when comparing it to the Excalibur scope that I have now... this Leupold is brighter, sharper, magnifies less and more than my current scope, lighter in weight and with the AO (Extended Focal Range dial) I can focus from right ...
