Boo, One of the strings is on the bow. The other is identical and is in an Excalibur package, with item # 1994. It is made in USA and cautioned against using with carved tips. The other string labeled 1994 had all black strands and the strands were a bit thicker. I think I may have the older 1994 st...

Another string question?
My Exomax was bought from a friend. The string is 28 strands of alternating black and gray material, endless loop, and with gray end and center serving. Speeds on the Exomax are 330 fps at 390 grain total arrow weight and 317 fps at 442 grain total arrow weight. Today I looked at two 1994 strings in...

Chrony results with the new Exomax!!
Warmed up a bit today, and with the Holiday....had to go outside. My string is 28 strand black and gray, so I think from reading here, it is the endless loop ff string. Strung it up with about three twists and had a brace height of 1 5/16 inch to the back of the string. I did put some catwhiskers on...

I have hunted with Triple 7 2f since it first came out. It ALWAYS has performed to the high level I have expected of my rifle and load. It does very well in my Remington 700MLS, using 100 grains of loose with the 200 grain Shockwaves. In my Knight SS Disc Elite I use 110 grains of loose 777 with the...

Smokepolehall, The Excal has the mag tips. The strings are not in the packaging, so they are whatever sold with the bow within the last two years. I don't have the stock numbers for the strings. The one on the bow has no twists at all and is at a bit more than one inch brace height. That has not cha...

Good to know. I have traveled up that way a bit to some locations. I prefer the mountains. I'm near the E-W line so I can take advantage of the East of the Blue Ridge regulations (extra buck tag plus two a day). Grew up way out in SW Va. so I talk more like someone from GA. or AL. than your part of ...

Thanks for the replies. I am well aware that it was a spectacular deal. It is very cold so I will wait a few days to check speeds with the 2216's with 125 grain tips, and the brass front insert Laser 2's with 125's. I will likely also prep some 2219's with aluminum front and rear inserts, but will l...

Hello from a new owner !!
Greetings to all, After harvesting well over 100 deer with a bow, I had begun to research and consider crossbow hunting after VA. enacted a crossbow option for non-disabled hunters. While talking with a good friend, he asked my opinion on a new vertical bow and said he was going to sell his Excalibu...
