Does Excalibur still sell the adjustable vari zone? I have recently seen a scope advertised as the Vari zone, but it doesn't seem to have the adjustment ring.

I have a little trouble splitting the pelvic bone sometimes when I gut out my deer. Things get messy sometimes. Any tips?

Crossbow Scope

I am buying my Max without the scope, but I might be able to afford the scope in a month or so if I "scrape the bottom of the pot". Is the scope really necessary? Does it improve accuracy that much? Does it make shooting easier in low-light situations? 8)
