Thanks DaGriz for the info. We have used different salt types over the years. I don't think there is a hard and fast rule as to what works the best. The more information we get the better choice we can make for ourselves.

I use the smaller mineral salt blocks that I get at T.S.C.sotres or most feed stores. I have used the premiun water softened salt that I dig into the ground and the pour about 10 gallons of water into it. The deer really dig into the ground looking for the salt. Thanks for straightening me out. I was born blond and turned darker later. My daughter said the colour change was from continually scratching my head and the friction caused the change. She arn't blond.
