I have shot several crossbows at distances over 80 yards. They are remarkably accurate at these distances. I would imagine that they could do well at even longer distances, including 200 yards.

Playing the wind most likely will be the biggest factor in achieving good groups.

The Va Tech nut looks very similar to another nut we have seen before.

Seems like his last shot was his best shot, its a shame he did not take it first.

I HATE THE ORANGE MARKING TAPE!!!

What a poor practice, littering plain and simple.

I like to take it down any chance I get.

Personally, I feel that leaving stands on public land is selfish. If I were to evacuate the immediate area in which a tree stand was hung, I may as well go home. Every year I see dozens of stands on public land (which here in Maryland, is illegal) yet I never see people hunting in them. Which is ano...

Thanks Bob.

TPM thanks for the link.

For the reasonable prices on these knives I may have to try more than just the one.

Thanks Bob, I actually have a couple that I am watching on eBay. It would be nice to touch and hold them before a purchase. Does anyone know any stores that stock them around Maryland? Also Bob, could you go into a little more detail about your opinion on the original vs. flat grind blades? I want t...

Grohmann knives

I figured with all the Canadians here I could get some good first hand info on Grohmann knives.

Any info or input you could give me would be helpful.

Different models, steel and blade grind options.

Pros, Cons, personal experiences.

Thanks

Maybe it's just me, but, I have had great luck with the brass weighted gold tips.

With the accuracy I get, I can't see any shaft outperforming them.

What kind of results are you currently getting?

that sounds like it would be perfect for smaller game.

enough to kill the game but not the bolts.

Is there "overhang" with a 20" bolt?

It seems like the rail/stirrup extends about the same length as other excal's.

Is this correct or are the target models much shorter?

They meet the requirement for deer in MD, at more than 70# draw weight.

Can you shoot a regular 20" bolt. I like being able to shoot the same bolts from all of my xbows.

What type of numbers could I expect from a 20" lazer II with brass inserts and 100-125 grain heads?

Although currently, crossbows are only allowed for deer hunting in my state , does anyone use a point blanc or apex for small game hunting? Goundhogs, squirells, fox, coyote, rabbits?

IAU didn't have a limt but our national organization has adopted the world crossbow shooters association 21/64 (which meant the 22 series gold tips I used to use are no longer legal)

No "line cutters"

Why? Just for that reason?
