. Or rather, when will this white stuff go away? There are sheds to be found! How much do all the rest of you have? Re: what U think? A hybred?
Boo, what were all the characteristics about this buck that showed you he was a cross? I know a rancher in Idaho who told me they get some huge hybrids.

Re: Vulture Culture (pics)
I know where a bald eagle has nested in the second story room of an abandoned farmhouse out my way. Has her nest on the floor and flies in and out through the smashed window. I guess if they feel their safe they will venture indoors.

Re: what U think? A hybred?
Just because there is no fork in the G-2 on these deer (leaving them with a "whitetail" looking rack) does not make them a mix. Whitetails can have mule-looking forked G-2 also, but they are still just plain old whitetails.

What, the trait of no nose?bcmuledeer wrote: His nose got a little chewed off. Never seen any other deer arround here with that trait.
I call 100% mule
Was there any hide left for you to see his colouring when you found him?

Re: The Winter ( warning graphic )
I did find another dead deer yesterday in the bush - it was a button buck. That is only #2. Usually I will find one almost every outing in the spring.
How about everyone else? How many you usually find?

Re: The Winter
I thought that this winter would leave dozens of dead dear in the woods. In an average winter a deer herd can expect 10% non-hunting mortality rate, and I thought that with all of our snow we would be over that. But, much to my surprise, all the deer I have seen so far have been very healthy looking...

Re: Birds that won't go away
Saw a city block once that a robin was protecting - every single car, and on both the driver's and passenger's doors, was covered in mess as he daily went up and down the line attacking the bird in the rear view mirror. It was a mess for sure!

I hope your able to find the other half. :) Yea, I wish, I am yet to find a set! With how small the pictures are with this new forum format it is hard to see that thing in the picture - I circled it in red. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_Gm85oQQnNfY/TWf8rDUur-I/AAAAAAAABHg/XlGgF1HQ1x4/s640/DSCF...

First shed of the year
Went out just before dark last night, and had the easiest find of my life! I think this is the earliest I have ever found a shed before. Walked to the field, took ten steps to my left, looked to my left through the fence row and there it was laying! Nice little 4pt. I always like taking a picture of...

Re: swaping hunts
Opinions are great - we can all have them, and tailor them to us and where we live, but in the end none of them matter - as long as we are happy with our own!
