Beagles and beagle mixes make good trail dogs. I have a cur dog I use to find wounded deer sometimes. She's and old couch potato now, but still likes to do it. Brand new to crossbows, but have used nothing but a hip quiver for many years while bow hunting or practicing. Can't stand a bow mounted quiver. Thanks a bunch for all the input. Great forum to nose around in. Have seen almost no reviews less than 5 stars for any Excalibur product on any website, which says a lot. Must be my kind of outfit.
