Re: What do you guys climb with
Ol'Man Vision is the only stand I've used for over 20 years now.If I leave it on public land over night, I use 2 padlocks that fit perfectly in the pin holes to keep is secure. Very good treestand. When i'm at hunting height, I take leafy cut camo blind material and wrap around the tree and stand. I...

Re: Range Finders
I like the Nikons myself. If you are just using it for bowhunting, then the skys the limit. I would get one with the angle compensator and go somewhere the has a selecton that you can try out. Some brands have narrow LCDS that make it hard to see.The models with the red OLEDS are easy to read. Mine h...

Just bought the R.E.D.S for my Grizzly. The string is 1/4 inch away from the bumper. The instructions says to twist or untwist the string until its a credit card distance away. Do I do this and not worry about the brace height? Right now I have my string just barley in front of the line on the riser.

when sighting in your crossbow, do you have your taget and crossbow at deer shoulder height or do you put your target on the ground? Does it matter?Does it matter for longer shots?

Re: Hot weather deer hunting help
Skin and gut deer as soon as possible and put in ice chest.I leave the plug in mine and drain it about every day for 5 or 6 days until water comes out clear.I let the meat bleed out so to speak. I think the meat tastes better that way.The main thing is to cool it down as quick as possible.

Re: Jerks at the range...again.
Use to get the same attitude selling crossbows at Bass Pro.They think using a crossbow was some how cheating.I would ask if they used a muzzle loader and what kind of gun. Always the same answer , modern inline with a scope.I'd ask "If you're not using a flintlock, are you cheating? Never did g...
