Nothing like the sight of nice red blood in the snow. Good Job! After you have some steaks, you will realize what a great waste it was, when the Buffalo hunters hunted the beast almost to extinction, just for the hide. I've eaten it before, and done medium, is very, very good. Butcher

One like I have, (Excalibur Phoenix) with a 1lb trigger, and no trigger slop. With a 170-180 class buck standing in front of it looking the other direction, at 10 yds. Priceless. Butcher

We'll have to work out times and dates, but it sounds good, wexford is about 30 minutes for me, but no problem. It will not be too soon, we have Union negotiations coming up, and I'm the unit president. A lot of my time lately has been spent doing that. Just PM me, it would have to be the weekend af...

Grey Owl, I ramble sometimes on here. If you gave me the freedom to be a journalist, and write a story.............Well how many pages are there in an issue? How's the pay? I'd be broke. Nowadays, people only want to hear of the 150 class buck you killed, or your not consideered (spelling intended) ...

I almost always use the rope cocking aid. At all times, I make darn sure the hooks are tight on the string. I had one bad experience with a bow that got away, a horton 150 pounder, and it kicked me real hard. Foot came out of the stirup, and had I been treestand hunting, I would have tested my harne...

Good bowhunters, have a way of getting close. That's what it is all about. Keep the wind in your face, and don't get trampled, and your trip wil be fine, I'm sure you'll "swank" a big Buffalo, They are so darn big, you'll have to build an addition for the mount. I'm sure the wife would rat...

I have built a few ladder stands in the past, but the price of hang on stands has come down so much in the past few years, I really would not go through the trouble of building. I hunted this year in a Comfort Zone, that had the hand and shooting rails, and was very comfortable. I paid $56 American,...

Digger, I did not know about all the rail swithching, and being new to the crossbow scene and all, well you know, I'm just stupid about such things. I found I could buy a new rail for $60. That made no sense to me, because if I buy a new rail, the company would loose money because I bought a rail, a...

I had an exomax, and bought it before I knew there was a weight limit in pa. and loved it. I traded it off when I found I was hunting illegal. I got a new phoenix. The verdict is not in on it yet, I'm having a few problems with it, and am in the process of getting them worked out. It is eating strin...

Thanks for the replies, and will look into allergy problems. I too know what it feels like. I broke down, and started crying one day, and told my wife, what kind of man she needed to look for to raise the kids. I mean some days I feel that bad. I have 4 weeks vacation, and last year, I used 4 days t...
