Pics from Gesto Extreme shoot

Here are a few picture of my buddy Larry and brother in law Jim. We were shooting at Gesto (near the town of Essex ) They had a very challenging course. Here is a couple shots at a 36 or 37 yard bear. Not bad for a 3 arrow group. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y172/pop_andfresh/dad/3dshootgesto003...

I have been a pretty loyal Darton customer my latest Dartoon being about 3 years old ( Cyclone with CPS cam system ) The bow is long Axle to axle about 40 inches It is a good shooting bow with 80% let off and ...

Which State

Got a fella at work who is dead set against crossbows/guns. I have told him there are a few states that now allow crossbows in the archery season. ( he is saying there is only Ohio , all the others are for gun season or by disabled permit ) I know Ohio allows them in the archery season, and I believ...

I have had about the same experience with the tunerz. The lasted thru resighting and 1 - 30 round 3d shoot and 1 of the tunerz bit the dust. Tried some bowjax, with the same results.

Another hip quiver

Found this hip quiver awhile ago looked interesting. I think it would be quite user friendly.

Watch

Watch how far you put your foot in the stirrup before cocking the crossbow, if it is not in deep enough ( or a bit muddy ) and it slips off your foot  WHAM sore mouth or missing teeth. This one has probably already been said. Watch the limb tips for obstructions, I have seen 1 person get a go...

Slow down

You could try Tunerz, but this dropped my speed by about 10 to 15 fps. A set of limb covers may slow it a bit more ( Excalibur used to sell a fleece like camo limb sock ) .

Gladiators

Gold Tip made a broadhead called a Gladiator. It could be used as a fixed Blade or as a fixed Blade with 2 expandable blades . I have been wondering how they would shoot out of the 200# Exocet or Exo Mag.

Simms

I have been wondering if the simms extreme limb saver would work.. It mounts to the limb bolts. People who use them on verticle bows say they work great. If they did not seem to work there how about using the 2 holes on either side of the riser. ( I think people are using these holes to mount a quiv...

New Rules

So with the new regs , we have to buy a seperate tag for wolf or coyote ? And we are allowed to take only 2 per year ? My next question is; why did they include coyotes in to the new regulations ?
