I really would love to own one of the top line metal detectors but what I do have is a Sears model. I bought it for $25.00 at a garage sale. The guys wife said as I paid him. "You just paid over $100 for that!" :D I have found many arrows, lost pistol brass, tools and even a neighbor's dia...

I did the same yesterday. I just recieved some new bolts and the first one I was going to try sounded funny and I couldn't find the bolt. Later my grandson found it off to the side. I guess it must have fell off as I walked over to where I was going to shoot from. I e-mailed Bill T. and he th...

I have their Penthouse blind, which is very nice when it's up but is a pain for me to fold up. my son can do easily :? I do manage to get it eventually. I usually leave it up for the entire season. maybe if I took it down more often I'd get better at it! :D

I was pretty sure when I saw the picture of the scat. The only problem was I couldn't tell it's size from the picture. One note don't ever touch the scat with bare fingers. Coons can carry a very bad disease.

I agree with the snorting back. Many times the snort, and the stamping of the foot is to get a reaction when they aren't sure what it is that's disturbing them. If you snort back it often relaxes them.

Tye, it might be a bit late to sell it this season and maybe the same for you to get a compound set up and you spend the time needed to shoot it well. Perhaps you should hunt with the crossbow this season and then switch to the compound next Summer. I would have been interested but you said you want...

Bob, I was going to correct you but then you did it yourself. ( I would have done it off line) :D The way I remember it is thermals follow the sun. Up in the morning. Down at night. This uplies in hilly country like I hunt. On the plains thermals go up into the sky. The worst hunting wind is a swirl...

Wabi, years ago I use to use skunk but then someone told me that the only time a skunk sprayed was when in danger and deer took skunk smell as a sign of danger. made sense to me. I use raccoon because they climb trees. I also use milk weed puffs as wind indicators.

When you measure with a tape it's best if you have someone to help you so you can measure from the stand and not just from the base of the tree. In a food plot it is easy to put out markers at various ranges. I use to put out dowels with the color tape that corresponded with my sight pins for differ...
