Re: Shoot through mesh?
I have a Double Bull Matrix 360 ground blind and have hunted both deer and turkey out of it. You can leave the windows open and turkey will walk right by it. Deer will spook if the windows are open, they show up as black holes in the woods. Even with the mesh screens up deer will really look you ove...

Re: Locating Vendetta button on Exocet
Got the Vendetta installed and aligned. Also dialed in the Lumi-zone. Went to different places in the yard, ranged the target and made the shot. Every arrow was in the bullseye.

I am also shifting 2117s with brass inserts and 2" Blazers. The brass inserts that fit the GT 2s will also fit 2117s. I am using 100 grain mechanicals. Theses arrows group very tight at 50 yards.

Re: now to quiet it down some
Mudman, I had the same concern when I switched from a Matthews compound to an Excal, the deer I have shot with it did not react at all. Some of the guys on the board say not to shoot further than 30 yards.

Re: Locating Vendetta button on Exocet
Thanks!
It looks like you are using a Weaver rimfire scope ring to clamp the end of the bracket on the Vendetta base plate. Is that correct?

Locating Vendetta button on Exocet
I am getting ready to install the Vendetta rangefinder on my Exocet 200. Have the mounting bracket that attaches to the scope rail on order also. Where are you attaching the button and how is the wire routed so that the operation of the bow is not affected?

Re: Ladder Stands
You might try a Lone Wolf Climbing stand. I am about your size and use one. Ladder stands are heavy and hard to set up. The stand has to be leaned up against the tree and you have to climb it in order to strap it to the tree at the top and this is usually in the dark. The Lone Wolf is made out of al...

Mitch, I had dinner tonight at Busters Barbeque over at Vermillion Bay. Heading back to Winnipeg tomorrow and back to TN tomorrow night. This is certainly a beautiful area.

Re: Hunting in Canada
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I am up here for business and do not have any free time. I will be driving back to Winnipeg on Thursday; maybe I will see a moose. Middle Tennessee is a very nice area. In fact, The area south of Nashville around the Jack Daniels area is my favorite. We have lots of la...

Hunting in Canada
I flew to Winnipeg this morning and drove over to Dryden on the Trans-Canada. Saw three deer on the trip and one bear (no moose). How do you guys hunt this area, it is so vast and the cover is so thick. I expected to see animals in every valley. Same for the lakes, every bank looks good. How do know...

Re: A Perfect Hunt
That's a nice Buck! And to have taken him on Public Land makes him an even bigger Trophy! Way to go! The key to hunting on public land is remote access. Four wheelers are not allowed where I hunt (nor is baiting) so the first thing I did was try to access the areas by road to determine where people...

A Perfect Hunt
Went to the woods this morning and the conditions were perfect. Saw a buck and a doe across a big field and the big buck started walking towards me along the edge of the field. At 20 yards, I hammered him with the Excal Exocet 200 and Spitfire. Pass through shot and the deer took off running towards...
