Re: 380grn bolt anyone ?
Good question and here is my reason for shooting 19 inchs. I had an Exomax and shot 20 inch arrows out of it. They weighed 400 grains built just as the 19 inch are. So when I sold the Exomax and purchased the 380 Matrix I used the 20 inch I had with great results except for one thing. While hunting ...

Re: OH NO !
I had the same issue on my 380 when I first bought it two years ago. Mine was very obvious I believe 5/16 inch from limb tip to limb tip using a square along rail and string. I called Danny he had me send him the entire riser with string. As always he took care of it and sent it back with new limbs ...

Re: How Much Speed Is Really Needed
When I was 12 years old and finally old enough to bow hunt in Michigan(1964) I had a Bear 48 lb recurve. I used cedar arrows fletched with feathers and 145 gr Bear broadheads. That was a good solid hunting setup back then. I killed a couple of small bucks with that outfit until I was about 15 or 16. ...

Re: How Much Speed Is Really Needed
Another way of looking at the advantages of speed is this. Where I hunt upnorth baiting is not legal. I primarily hunt the rut because that is my best chance to actually see some of the larger bucks. With that said it is not uncommon for me to have a buck that is chasing a doe around and therefore i...

Re: Must I change this limb?
This is an example of how one terrorist can strike fear in an entire country. This "Joe" guy is being given way to much attention and credit in my opinion. We are allowing his lack of intelligence to dictate how we react to a simple question posted by an obviously concerned and very trusti...

Have only owned two xbows, an Exomax and now a Matrix 380.. Both awesome bows but I love my Matrix 380. Very fast, Very accurate, and more compact than the Exomax.

Re: broad head selection
An great example I believe of the moose's heart still functioning and continuing to supply pressure forcing the blood out anywhere there is an avenue. Interesting observation Keith regarding the larger diameter broadheads. You make perfect sense...something to consider. Again more evidence that shot...

Re: Hunting with ghillie suit
I use a Cabelas leafy Ghillie top only. Sit in blowdowns and love using it. Had numerous nice bucks around me this year while wearing it even had a 140+ buck chasing a doe around me at less than 5 yds at times and never saw me. In fact I bought my son and nephew Cabelas ghillie tops this year for Ch...

Re: broad head selection
Yes blood is under pressure unless the heart is shut down from a bullet or broadhead then pressure is ceased as the pump is compromised.. blood or any fluid will take the path of least resistance be it internally or externally. However you still need a hole low enough to allow a sufficent amount of ...

Re: broad head selection
Been at this game for many years (52 years) and here is my take on some of these observations. I think just about any fixed or modern mechanical broadhead will take down any big game animal in a reasonable distance with a reasonable shot placement. However I think there is one major issue that is be...

Re: Tuff Gettin Old!
LOL I hear ya brother... I have one about 1/2 mile from the rd in a wide fence row right now that I need to take down and do some welding on. The farmer cut the beans then he plowed the field up and so there are now two foot deep furrows in the entire field all the way tight against the treeline on ...
