Just out of interest , do you chain and lock these stands that are stolen ? becarefull putting your SIN no. on stands, but mark them that only you know where the mark is. The stand was chained, but not locked. They must have seen the chain and thought it was padlocked. the ladder was a 3 seperate p...

Treestand bandits strike again

I am sick of these so called fellow hunters that steal my sh*t. I just received permission to hunt 100 acres out of 1000 in southern Ont. We set up last week and today went to sit for the first time and it was gone. I've only been hunting for 4 years and this is the second time this has happened. I ...

I went out sat night in the Hamilton area not really expecting to see much because of the high winds. around 5:00 I saw a doe out of range, and another at 6. But boy were they SPOOKY!!I guess they were bedded during the morning rain/wind and decided to come out in the eve.

If i travel thru thick brush than I carry it cocked. I feel this way it less likely for the limbs to snag, but I dont load a bolt, and i carry it in my hands. I only load a bolt if I think I could surprise something and its clear woods. I dont recommend hoisting the bow up to the stand with a bolt l...

I always unscrew the broadhead from the bolt before removing the bolt from the block. I find that this easier to remove the arrow that way.

boltcutter b/heads M.I.A

I bought boltcutter broadheads two weeks ago after having slight accuracy issues with slick tricks (its true). I found that the boltcutters flew fairly good with the new firebolts. BUT, last week I was target shooting and when i went to retrieve the bolts I noticed that i was missing a broad...

Do the majority of you guys spray the entire contents at once, or short bursts? 10.00 a can aint cheap. at least with a bottle with a wick you might be able to get a full season out of. Im not knocking anyone using BB, I have some as well. but 35 cans?? WOW!

yet another fletching question

Over the years I have had a few bolts that the fletching has been damaged ( Near robin hoods with broadhead, deteriation etc..) I think I am going to have them refletched. Just wondering the best offset, size of vanes for the GT laser 2 and firebolt. I went into the archives and found some answers f...
