The gang I hunt with have a controlled hunt policy. If it's brown it's down. My selective hunting is my bow hunt and it's not that way at all. We get at least a deer each every year and shoot some big and some small bucks and several doe's and fawns. Alot of these guy's take the week off and want a ...

Thanks for the posted pic. I'd like to give those a try. I tried the gobbler guillotines and they suck. They have no consistancy whatsoever.

Much nicer than our fish and game club. Our range is at a different location than the clubhouse. No scenery like yours. WOW!

My comments to the EBR. "I would like to propose that the spring turkey license and tag not filled during that period be valid for the fall hunt of that year. Otherwise, once again having to purchase a seal for the fall hunt becomes just another money grab." Grizzly-Papa It's all money gr...

Don't get me wrong, I think giving them your personal portfolio and contact info. is a brilliant idea. I just don't think asking them to sign on a dotted line is gonna help to get permissions. People don't want to sign anything anymore especially if it may bring on liabilities.

I have never asked a landowner to sign anything. I think that would only decrease your chances of getting permission.
One of our landowners says the same thing every year.
I won't say you can and I won't say you can't.
Translation "go ahead with out my permission".

Who wouldn't open with that topic title.
I don't see why that wouldn't be possible. A doe in heat will be harrassed constantly to mate by several different bucks, young and old and probably gets bread several times through that period.

No
But my brother had a smootbore rifle sighted slug barrel for his belgium auto 5 (smooth bore). He hated it with the sights on it because of the barrel recoiling. He went back to the bead barrel. Check Hastings, but I doubt it.

Cool
Shed hunting is better when both sides are still attached to the skull. Theres always next year for that but it would be cool to find sheds from the previous year from the buck you harvest next year.

Around here, it's more like: "Hey! Mind if I hunt on ya'll this year?" And the usual reply: "Naw! Kill all you want!" Or, as the farmer north of me put it in rifle season this year: "Lay some thunder on 'em!" Hope you have similar results! :D :D I love it! Here your be...

At distances outside 30 yards count on some deer position variables at impact even with todays faster excals. As for practice, shooting longer ranges is bound to improve short range accuracy.
