Re: One of my dogs got hit by a skunk!

My dog got it a few years back. The problem was we couldn't de-skunk the inside of her mouth :x . She must have tried to bite the skunk and it shot her in the face and mouth. She had really bad breath for a month!!!

Re: O/T southern eastern Ontario pepperettes , Salami etc.

What a load of crap. They come off as "looking out for the well being of the public" while they drive these people out of work. People are so afraid of germs these days that they have create a pill to cure everything except for the loss of common sense.

Re: Whats up in Southern ON?

With standing corn, the big boys sometimes lay right up in it. They have cover and all the food they could ever want, so why leave. A deer can move through the corn and you would never see them.

Re: Shot a buck

Right on Tyler. You sure are good at putting them on the ground! Glad to hear you and your Dad get to spend so much time together. I was able to hunt with my Dad last year for a week and it was the best feeling ever. I haven't deer hunted with him in about 10 years because we live so far apart, but ...

Re: Tracking

It can and does happen that you lose one. A few years back I shot a real nice 10pt from the ground. The shot was only 22 yards. I hit him a tad high. Above the lungs and below the spine. Got a complete pass through on this deer and this is what the arrow looked like. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/...

Re: Bloodtrail Ale

I have mentioned it to alot of people out this way and they all say the same thing. They would buy it just because they hunt and it is a catchy name. I personally have tried the brew and it is very good. :D For more years than I have been around there has been a long standing tradition in my family ...

Re: September Geese , and October Whitetail opener 2010

Great opener. I was out for the first time this year in NS. By 8:00 am I had 5 deer pass by my stand all within 15 yards. Even had a fawn smelling the ladder only minutes after I had climbed up. With so many deer around I let them walk. It's so relaxing to be back in the woods.

Re: It's finally here - 4 us Ontarians

Good luck boys and girls. The season started here in NS last Saturday. I finally got out for a sit last night. Great to be back in the woods. I have booked two weeks vacation to chase the Ontario giants. Have fun and be safe.
