I spent 47 days hunting this:
I spent 47 days hunting for this two and a half year old to no avail. He kept showing up on a couple cameras but only at night. I hope he makes it through the winter. He'll be a great three and a half year old.

He gave permission to hunt and put up a stand on the farm property that is between one of his fields and the swamp. I've been trying to get permission to hunt that area for ten years. I may not ...

How does the chipmunk effect you while on stand?
We all know that sitting in a stand, at times, can be very boring; yet, then comes the Speedy Gonzales of the forest floor, the Chipmunk! They are very busy beavers, so to speak. There is their food supply to get in and getting it accomplished. They move from one place to another with the speed of a...

what annoys you the most when sitting?
What annoys me the most when I'm sitting in or on a stand, is four tom turkeys. Their walk is so rhythmic that when coming through leaves [see now, we are back to the leaf gliding study] that, it sounds like a four legged animal [deer] coming. Every time these four toms come in from behind be, no ma...

Leaf Gliding Study ?
Have you ever noticed the was leaves depart the limb they are attached to make there way to there final resting place on the ground or in the water? I do believe this year it has become my passion. Leaf gliding is the artful way which a leaf makes its one and only flight on high to the ground or wat...
