Boy oh boy, 100/1 odds eh...that's ok - we love being underdogs.

Once the snow flies and most guys are all cozy on their couch, we will be snowshoeing after big bucks in an attempt to warrant our name.

I think your setup is fine. You're NOT going to be trying to go through a shoulder or anything, so you will get good penetration. Buddy of mine has shot a few with the same setup without any problems at all. Just remember to aim for lungs not shoulder - you have a huge target so should not be a prob...

Thanks guys, I would use the firebolt/boltcutter option however I am forced to buy new broadheads and bolts this year so I thought I would go to a 100gr Rage and a different bolt. I'll have a look at the GT-II...thanks a million.

I never have the quiver on the bow, when I am walking in, I strap it to my pack, and hold one arrow just in case. Once on stand, I put the pack at my feet.

Always accessible and takes away any and all vibrations on the bow.

Equinox - best broadhead weight

I bought my equinox last year and used the 150gr Boltcutter that came with the package. Although pleased with what they did, I am looking at a few broadheads in the 100gr zone. I have been used the Firebolts that were also in the kit. I am now having to buy some new bolts and broadheads, and want to...

You are probably better off with the week you chose than the first week. The first week it is often harder to draw the bears in. A lot of berries are still in full crop at the time and the bears aren't going to leave a nice berry patch to come and eat day old donuts. Some guys here only start baitin...

OFAH has a quasi program in place. I contacted them for info a few years back and spoke with our food bank who were more than happy to accept any wild meat at all. I brought in abotu 50 pounds and they said it was gone in 2 days.

Welcome, I have the lumizone, but will probably be trading with a buddy for his varizone...I have not once turned the red crosshairs on, and find it a waste of money (personally). I did outfit the bow with the sts system and a Boo custom string....now it is nice and quiet, and deadly accurate. My ad...

I agree with the post about using a guide...I might do this next year, not so much to have someone call in my bird, cause I can do that, but just the access to huntable land...getting real tough and with more and more turkey hunters every year, it's going to be even tougher
