I think it depends on a number of factors. Whether the deer frequently encounter humans or scent. Bumping deer going in or out. Scent left or being winded. Much depends on the approach & departure from the stand. Prevailing winds. Whether its a feeding, bedding, funnel or travel area. How badly ...

I hunt in central Virginia & season opens in early October. Usually by the last week of October the bucks are usually interested in or chasing does. For the past three seasons I have been using bleats and young buck calls all season with good success. I only started using calls three seasons ago...

Has anyone used a regular rifle scope on their excalibur? Are they durable with the forward thrust of the xbow?
