Man Was I Spoiled!!
Man was I spoiled. My first season deer hunting was in 2009 at the age of 44. In my first 7 seasons, much do to the help of rock star hunting mentors, I harvested 23 deer, 4 coyotes, and 3 turkeys (could have had more turkeys but I prefer eating Butterball :D :D ) . In addition, the majority of my h...

Re: Need help with Spitfires
I've shot regular 100gn spitfires from an Exomax, Micros 335, Matrix 330 and a friend's Horton with no issues. I plan to buy XXX Spitfires moving forward but haven't lost a head in so long it could be a while!! That said maybe dental bands makes sense in the interim.

Re: My Daughter's Hunt This Morning!
It didn't start out really well as she missed an opportunity to shoot a very nice tall 8 point due to her red dot washing out her target at first legal shooting hours. Made me sick man!! He came in to 16 yds and just stood there begging to be shot. It was not to be I guess!! Anyway, fast forward 30...

17 yds broadside. Unobstructed view. I take that shot and watch him go down within view of my stand.

Re: Fellow hunter hypocrites
Hunting only small private plots (avg 10 acres each) my strategy has changed over the years. I used to scout like crazy, routinely check cameras, bait...ect. What I now believe is that all I was doing was leaving a scent which effected deer patterns driving them off the properties. My hunting succes...

Re: Micro vs Matrix
I traded my Exomax for a Micro 335 which I loved at first, however the love affair ended with the 4th limb failure inside a year. I switched to a Matrix 330 and found it to be an easy drawing shooting machine. Deadly accurate and fun to shoot. That said, the Micro series keeps calling me. I wouldn't...

Re: Thanks, I Needed That!!!!
I know how you feel! In the last few years, I've been preoccupied with business, having a house built, legal battles with a wind turbine company who were in cahoots with our provincial goverment. This year I believe I'll actually be hunting! :D The first of October, I'll be hunting moose and elk in...

Congratulations and Nice Video! Any Pics of the Bear? How about a quick review of the outfitter? They would be a reasonable driving distance for me if the service/price was good. Thanks.

Re: Blood Tracking Lights--Again
I would gladly spend 260 to be able to spot a light bloodtrail. You don't know how difficult it is being red/green colorblind. Heck I considered a thermal imager which is many times over that price. And my type of colorblind isn't as rare as you may think. http://www.toledo-bend.com/colorblind/Ishi...
